Vacuum Concreting

Vacuum Concrete :

Vacuum Concrete is the type of concrete in which the excess water is removed with help of vacuum mats. The water add to the mixture is not fully required for hydration and can be removed before setting. 
There is no effect of removing the excess water to the strength of concrete instead helps in rapid hardening of concrete.
Vacuum concreting and its benefits

Procedure :

Concrete is made as usually and poured into molds. The concrete is then settled and mats are placed above it and the water is removed. This process does not removes the water from the whole depth but the amount which is removed helps the concrete to achieve the strength and reduces the crack formation.
