I start my BIM Industry exploration and learned that it's not just one software to be a BIM Engineer. I need to have 3 basic software knowledge, Design-Planning-Clash Detection.
I learned and understood various REVIT tools from different resources, one of the best being Youtube and Autodesk Design Academy. Getting started with this I practiced REVIT Software and now I am trying my own design and showcasing my 3D modeling skills.
Starting with creating grids and laying out a reference site plan.
Started with a few ideas and decided to have a parking lot on the 1st floor and then have office space above it. The layout for the 1st-floor parking is accessible with a ramp that is on the left side of the structure. An appropriate plinth layout and foundation were also done.
Did level adjustment and recreated a few walls and pillars with the different architectural designs over the structural columns.
Got a few new ideas of including a splanged column and having a curved beam at corners for proper turning. Got a few more ideas and created a minor plan layout. This can be seen below and how it looks like a structure. Minute details such as the staircase and lift shaft were also added simultaneously.
I took a circular column (Architectural) for each one and also created small columns for the columns supported on splanged columns. Took a shot from the plinth area with realistic graphic ON and have a look at it below.
The exterior facade was difficult to choose from a wall or a glass facade. To overcome this confusion I took a walk-through of level 2 and gave a thought to the idea of a glass facade.
Here are few architectural and structural frame layouts and drawings. I would like to showcase the details and work I created.
